2 cups boiling water
2 cups 100% All Bran (cereal that looks like worms)
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 cups buttermilk (works with regular milk)
5 cups flour
1 TBS salt
2 tsp baking soda
4 cups bran flakes
Pour the All Bran into the boiling water and let it sit until dissolved. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Stir in milk. Add dry ingredients. Stir in bran mixture and add bran flakes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
You can store the unused batter in the fridge for about a month.
