banana cake
2/3 c crisco
6 small eggs (5 large eggs)
2 and 1/2 cups white flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 and 1/2 c sugar
2 large bananas mashed (day old bananas)
1 c buttermilk (1 cup milk and 1 TBS lemon juice and leave for about 5 minutes)
cream sugar, crisco and eggs then add dry ingredients. then add buttermilk and vanilla. Last add bananas. fold in the bananas (mix on low setting). 9x13 pan greased. bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.
