Carmel Corn

8 Quarts of Popcorn (popped) (Orville Redenbachers is the best)
Boil together for 5 minutes:
2 sticks butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white karo syrup

Remove from heat & add:
1/2 tsp baking soda
pinch of cream of tartar

Stir Well.

You can add mixed nuts, almonds, cashews or peanuts as you pour the mixture over the popcorn.

Continue stirring until well coated. Dump on to 2 large cookie sheets. Bake in oven at 200 degrees, stirring a couple of times.

Break clumps apart & cool on wax paper.
